TO KEEBLER KIDS MARATHON MILE

(Carlsbad, CA) – Waiting for the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile to begin, outside at LEGOLAND, in the early morning hours, with temperatures in the mid 30’s may not sound all that exciting. Thanks to X-Treme Fun/XTF, a fourteen-year old San Diego DJ & Entertainment Company, the wait was well worth it.

“This event was all about the kids,” said Scot Feld, President of X-Treme Fun and Master of Entertainment for the company’s XTF DJ & Entertainment division. “Everyone was really into it and having the time of their life out there. I feel like we did what we came to do.”

Hula hoop contests, a bubble machine, the Macarena, the twist, the Charleston, the YMCA, the Soulja Boy and an endless supply of spirit-revving, enthusiasm-inducing music all took place – and this was before the races even began. Several other games and audience-attracting revelry continued as the much-anticipated marathon progressed including a ‘Name That Tune’ TV theme song contest, lip synching and a brother sister dance-off competition where the audience decided the winner.

Kids and adults alike could be seen singing, cheering and moving their bodies to the music as event DJ and MC, Feld, got the racers hyped. What started at 6:45 a.m. as a handful of people around the stage soon became a large mass of interacting enthusiasts.

“Most people don’t think they’re going to have as much fun as they end up having. The focus, of course was the kids, but there was enough entertainment to go around for everyone,” Feld said. “We’re committed to everyone having a great time. We could see we exceeded our goal by the audience’s energy.”

XTF is a multi-faceted company that has been hired by In Motion Event Management to do the pre- and post-entertainment for the Keebler Kids Marathon Mile for the past three plus years. They have also repeatedly done the Union Tribune Race for Literacy in Balboa Park, Rady Children’s Hospital Shamu & You Family Walk at Sea World and many others.

The company provides unique and themed parties for children. They also produce custom entertainment and DJ parties for youth and adult events including Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, corporate and teambuilding activities as well as birthdays, galas, fundraisers, holiday parties and other special events.
